The one and only time I had to leave my car at a body shop, I turned on the valet mode and stuck signs all over the inside that said "CAUTION: This engine will not rev over 3000 RPM! All activity is being recorded!". When I got my Z back, I hooked up my laptop, and downloaded the datalog that showed that it hadn't gone over 10mph... hehe. A cheap ($5) way to do this is to add a switch to the MAS that will disconnect the MAS and put the ECU in limp mode to limit the RPMS.
